Donald Larmee, Chief Technology Officer
and Principal. With nearly fifteen years of leading-edge technology expertise, Don brings substantial software engineering and architectural strategy leadership to ALTERthought. Don is pivotal in ensuring ALTERthought's engineering group possesses the appropriate balance of dynamic, innovative teams and concepts. Along with Peter, Don focuses on uncovering market-changing technologies and approaches and fostering their implementation by helping drive strategy and mentoring ALTERthought's engineer-analysts. Don has led large, successful teams of technologists working on groundbreaking software solutions in a wide range of sectors including high technology, finance, transportation and security. Don's solution and technology experience encompasses object-oriented designs in a wide-range of industries, smartcards, and building secure distributed software systems. Don holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Don enjoys relaxing with his family and is considered to be very handy around his home in Richmond, Virginia.
Sunjay Pandey, President and Principal. Sunjay has a ten-year track record of utilizing broad business experience to implement strategic technology initiatives through software and management consulting engagements. His primary responsibilities include the leadership of ALTERthought's strategy and market positioning. Sunjay works closely with ALTERthought's engineering and operational officers to plan and focus the company for the market viability of emerging technologies and professional services. He has successfully led teams in professional services, financial services, healthcare, enterprise software development, utilities, international trade, telecommunications, and hospitality. Before joining ALTERthought, Sunjay founded his own software engineering and strategy consultancy. Prior to that, he ran the Washington, DC office for a regional e-business consultancy and was a Senior Consultant for high-profile systems development engagements for Keane, Inc. Sunjay holds a M.S. in Management Information Technology from The University of Virginia and a B.A. in English Literature from Appalachian State University. Sunjay scuba dives and sporadically terrifies open-mic audiences with guitar and song in the Washington, DC area where he makes his home.
